Oaxaca Experience Tours was created to provide transport and tour services that stand out from the myriad of other tourist agencies in Oaxaca. We are well-known in the “expat” community and have excellent reviews from visitors of all ages who have enjoyed cultural, outdoor, and ecotourism activities. Of course, we offer comfortable, reliable excursions to traditional destinations, but we also work with you to customize a tour based on your interests, your timeframe, and your preferences in terms of place, duration and desired activity level.

WHO IS OMAR?
Omar Rito is a certified bilingual guide (“Guía General Acreditado por la Sectur”) as well as a licensed civil engineer and owner of Oaxaca Experience Tours. Originally from the coastal town of Pochutla, he lives in Oaxaca City with his wife, who is a dentist, and his two young children, Arturo and Ambar.
When Omar came to Oaxaca in 2009 to continue his studies, he found his way to the Oaxaca Learning Center, where he received the needed support and guidance to develop professional and personal skills during six years of involvement.
In 2018, Omar decided to create Oaxaca Experience Tours. Its growth and popularity are due not only to his knowledge of cultural and outdoor destinations, but also his reputation within the “expat” community, in which he has participated for many years through hiking, biking, and cultural activities. Also, his own personal travel in the United States and throughout much of Mexico has given him an awareness of the level of professionalism expected by visitors to Oaxaca.
Omar identifies Gary Titus, the founder of the Learning Center, as the turning point in his life: “My friend Gary entered my life like a ray from heaven, illuminating my path when I most needed it. He made me part of the family and offered help unconditionally.”
Many of his new clients learn of his services by word of mouth, from people whose contact with Omar has deepened their appreciation of Oaxaca’s rich culture and breathtaking scenery and whose personal touch and personality have made their experience even more memorable.
